The all-new FZ-FI takes riding to the next level. It brings the most advanced YAMAHA Blue Core concept to offer bikers an unmatched experience of performance and efficiency. At its heart is the all-new YAMAHA Fuel Injection (FI) Blue Core engine. It uses advanced sensors and actuators to calculate and deliver the optimum amount of fuel to the engine thus enhancing both performance and mileage. The reduced weight (132kg) makes the bike even more responsive leading to quick initial pickup and delivers smooth passing acceleration.

The silhouette of FZ FI has been given a forward lean to create a "Forward Massive Form" design that expresses a sense of hidden power. This was achieved by harmonizing the fuel tank design with its pushed forward look, the compact tail assembly, the short muffler and other elements.

Front 1ch ABS & Disc Brake

Front Disc with Bosch Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps in achieving improved braking performance by providing better stability and control at all speeds. Rear Disc brake augments more quality to the long legacy of FZ braking system.

Disc Brake and 1ch ABS 149cc Powerful FI Engine

The new FZ-FI model mounts an air-cooled 4-stroke 149cc SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected "BLUE CORE" engine, and engine's settings were optimized to further polish the feeling of superior acceleration from stops and exhilarating feeling when overtaking. The ignition timing and injection maps for the fuel injection system were completely redone so that riders get a good feeling of acceleration while still enjoying the laidback, upright riding position.

LCD Instrument Cluster

The LCD instrument cluster panel has a black background and white lettering. Digital speedometer, bar-style tachometer above, and a fuel gauge are constantly displayed, along with ABS warning lamp while the odometer, Trip 1, Trip 2, F Trip, clock and others can be selected for display. There is also an ECO indicator to enable more fuel-efficient riding.

LCD Meter Comfortable single piece Seat

The two-level seat has an excellent feeling of fit and cushioning that works well with an upright, relaxed riding position. The cushioning material has a suitable degree of firmness and is paired with a seat material that offers superb fit to provide a steady ride and comfort for both the rider and pillion rider. The pillion seat has a 16% larger seating surface area, is 26 mm wider in the hip area and is 5 mm thicker for added comfort.

Single and two level Seat LED Headlight

The new LED headlight provides excellent visibility over a wide range with very little unevenness. It uses a reflector with ideal light projection, and separate bulbs for high and low beam.

LED Headlight 140mm wide radial tyre

With a 100/80-17 radial tyre at the front and a 140/60-17 radial tyre at the rear, radial tyres offer low rolling resistance and deliver great fuel economy and good grip.

Wide Tubeless Radials Monocross Suspension

It provides an excellent shock-absorbing performance and a good feeling of stability during braking. The rear suspension is a lightweight Monocross suspension unit that contributes to mass centralization and provides 120mm of wheel travel, which is tuned for good balance between the spring rate and damping force.

Monocross Suspension Advanced Midship Muffler Cover

A midship muffler, with its advantages of mass concentration, weight reduction and shorter length, is adopted. The newly designed muffler protector further adds to the impression of sharpness.

The instrument panel has been designed like a sports car cockpit. It features a carbon pattern for the background and the new display fonts have a sporty look to them.


Aluminium Rear Wing-Grab-Bar

Wing shaped tandem rider grab-bars made of aluminum at the rear have been adopted. They contribute to the sporty look of the body and the "downforce" image. There are also louver-like ribs on the inside of the bars that give an impression of strength.

A new visor (smoked finish) is adopted on the front that creates a "downforce" image and adds a sporty look to the front view.

The all-new FZ-FI takes riding to the next level. It brings the most advanced YAMAHA Blue Core concept to offer bikers an unmatched experience of performance and efficiency. At its heart is the all-new YAMAHA Fuel Injection (FI) Blue Core engine. It uses advanced sensors and actuators to calculate and deliver the optimum amount of fuel to the engine thus enhancing both performance and mileage. The reduced weight (132kg) makes the bike even more responsive leading to quick initial pickup and delivers smooth passing acceleration.

The silhouette of FZ FI has been given a forward lean to create a "Forward Massive Form" design that expresses a sense of hidden power. This was achieved by harmonizing the fuel tank design with its pushed forward look, the compact tail assembly, the short muffler and other elements.

The ignition timing and injection maps for the fuel injection system were completely redone so that riders get a good feeling of acceleration while still enjoying the laidback, upright riding position.

The LCD instrument cluster panel has a black background and white lettering. Digital speedometer, bar-style tachometer above, and a fuel gauge are constantly displayed, along with ABS warning lamp while the odometer, Trip 1, Trip 2, F Trip, clock and others can be selected for display. There is also an ECO indicator to enable more fuel-efficient riding.

The two-level seat has an excellent feeling of fit and cushioning that works well with an upright, relaxed riding position. The cushioning material has a suitable degree of firmness and is paired with a seat material that offers superb fit to provide a steady ride and comfort for both the rider and pillion rider. The pillion seat has a 16% larger seating surface area, is 26 mm wider in the hip area and is 5 mm thicker for added comfort.

The Cygnus Ray-ZR is powered by an air-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve 113cc "BLUE CORE" engine with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) unit.
